You and your neighbours can't hear it, but cats detest it. CatStop keeps unwanted cats out of your flowers, garden, yard or pond. You'll soon be enjoying the sweet smell of flowers instead of the smell left behind by the neighbourhodd cats!

User Comments about the Contech CatStop Ultrasonic Outdoor Cat Deterrent

We have been using it for about 2 weeks now and it has done a great job. This device has kept all the neighborhood cats away from our yard. I imagine that if you have a large area you are trying to protect that you would need more than one of these devices but this works well for us as we have a small yard. When I installed the battery, our own 2 cats went running to the other side of the house to get as far away from this thing as possible. We have had quite a few cats come into our yard, with one cat in particular who kept urinating in our garage and spraying on our doors.

now the light still goes off but the buzz is gone and cats are back. it made a little tiny buzz, light went off and cats stayed away from my backyard. i was happy with the results for the first few weeks. if not, it is useless. i wonder if i can get this item replaced. catstop didn't last long.

When I walk in front of it, it will not activate until I'm within about 5 feet. I saw a cat run and climb a fence right by this device and it did not even activate. Your money would be better spent on a trap. It has been completely ineffective at even reducing the number of cats that come into the one little area of our yard that it is supposed to cover, to say nothing of stopping them entirely. Simply put, it does not work.

I now have 3 of these and am able to keep the cats away from the doors and the garden area. It is a constant battle but the CatStop is a great tool to help fight back. Needless to say these cats think everyone's yard and garden is their personal bathroom, it is just gross. Last count there were 31 cats roaming the neighborhood and this is an urban area. If I had known that I don't think I would have purchased my house. They have to be moved around as it seems the cats get used to them. My neighbor feeds feral cats.

It seems in the newer model that it makes a louder (audible to human) noise which startles the cats as well when they go by the CatStop. I am very happy to have another one and it is working great so far. It has been in place for the past month and it is working very well. They do there best to stay out of the area where the CatStop is all together now. I use this to keep the cats of of my nice new car.I have had one of these units in the past and it lasted me 4 years in year round New England weather.
