If you notice, there is no brand name for the product. I have learned the hard way :( This means different sellers will send you different brand USB/AC adapters, whatever they have. (Tell me if I'm wrong).
So, my conclusion and advice to you is if you are intent on buying this product(or any very mixed review product) keep calling it up until it comes from a reliable supplier, which, I am convinced sends the products that get the 5 star ratings. I could really use such a device, HOWEVER.
It says (By HandHeldItems) but that is actually a store. I hope this helps someone make a wiser purchase.
If you call up this item multiple times you will notice that the "SHIPS FROM AND SOLD BY" seller often changes from, for example, SF Planet to ElectroshopUSA to Ultimate Web Sales to importer520 or eForcity. They don't get them from the HandHeldItems store.
Something I have noticed is that when the product has reviews like this one: 50% 5 star reviews, 16% 4 star reviews, and 26% 3 stars or less reviews(very mixed review); something is screwed up with the product. I have had very good luck with SF Planet and eForcity, but that is just my personal experience.
I just bought a new iPod Touch 32GB 3G as well as some other electronic devices like a camera and have been buying accessories like mad on Amazon.
this thing will break your phone. GO SPEND 5 MORE $$$ AND GET A REAL IPHONE CHARGER. FIRST OFF HALF THE TIME IT DONT WORK, THEN SOMETIMES THE IPHONE SAYS ERROR AND SCREWS UP THE IPOD AND LAST U CAN LEAVE IT ON THE CHARGER FOR LIKE 3 HOURS AND YOUR BATTERY LIFE WILL STILL BE LOW.
Red light comes on but iPod does not charge. While many folks say this worked for their iPod, it did not work for me.
that is the biggest down side. It is a useful product except that it will take up more than one space in a surge protector.
Use it for all usb chargingUSB/AC for MP3 Players - White Cuts down on space.
