Now I am fine with bringing this ipod anywhere I go, and I know it will work. I love DIO cases because they are well made and they last long. Even thought you can use the clickwheel, it is just annoying that you can't flip it all the way back. The one thing that makes me give this product a 4 star is that you can't flip the cover all the way up to get at the clickwheel becasue your headphones are in the way. This cover was, and is a great case for the ipod video 5th generation.
Fit and quality are excellent. DLO makes nice products and this one is no exception.
The packaging even listed the 30 GB 5G video i-pod as being compatible. It is a soft sleek leather, and has worn mildly like a good leather handbag. This is the perfect protection case for business executives that use an IPOD.
It works just as well as the first.I like the case because:1) It protects the screen; the case has a raised frame around the screen that keeps the reinforced lid off the screen. It stays put on your side (very important considering dropping anything with a hard drive inside is not a good idea).In short, the case protects your iPod and provides easy, unhampered access to the screen and controls. They didn't cheapen the design as I feared they might. Fortunately the case is still in production, so I bought a second one. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get a replacement after I wore it out from frequent, heavy duty use. It protected the screen from getting scratched (not a scratch after about two years of use).2) The case does not include a plastic film over the screen making it easy to see the screen.3) There is also no plastic film covering the controls making it easy to operate the iPod.4) Easy flip up lid latches with a magnet making it easy to open when needed but stays closed when expected.5) Sturdy belt clamp keeps a tight hold on almost any type of cloth or (of course) belt. I bought this case the first time a couple of years ago finding it to be an exceptional product for its purpose.
