USB CAR CHARGER

User Comments about the White Universal 12 Volt USB Car Charger for Apple iPod or USB Charging Device

The case fell apart, and I had to mash all the inner workings back in, and use duck tape to hold it together. But I guess you get what you pay for. After that, it would get really hot when used (maybe that's because of the breaking / mashing / tape, but I'll never know). If I'd paid more than $2 for this, I'd be pretty irked. Basically exploded the first time I used it.

Update:I ordered a second one. Label say 12V input, 5V output. It is made in China. Now, I just hook it up on this thing and no worries that it will stop in the middle of my long drive.

I was looking for a cheepo Ipod USB car adapter.and that just what I found. It just works. This one does not work except for the red LED. My old 30G Ipod's battery is now loosing its charge faster as it is getting old.

It has a red LED on the side that tells you it is plugged. But what's the difference. It plays while charging at the same time.I prefer the USB than the wider iPod cable because, more often the wide cable adapter gets broken by an ipod firmware update; not the USB. It is cheap in price, even in construction.

Will recommend this to others. I am using this for over 8 months and it is still working fine.

Product was exactly as shown and this company does support their customers. The company shipped another unit, no charge, and I did receive it. I ordered this adaptor and it was shipped but the USPS lost it.

This is way below what you say for your product on your product page (12V) even though you say the product is compatible with Zune. Let me not take that chance."True, I've never used it, but why risk it. Hope this helps someone. As you probably know, using a device with a higher voltage than what the Zune or iPod allows would fry the mp3 player (as has been voiced in other customer reviews for the product).First off, my Zune 2.0 is rated for about 5V (as is most mp3 players from what I know).

By the way, I bought my Zune and this charger at the same time, and DAMN how hard it was to figure out if these 2 are the same voltage. How do I know which to believe. Even worse, on the actual packaging of the product, it says rated for 5V on the actual charger, but it says 12V on the product packaging. One of the most important pieces of info has to do with the voltage ratings of the device.

If you're getting a new mp3 player and are looking for a charger, just get the mp3 player first, then search your nearest electronics store for something of a comparable voltage. I'll paste here the same response I gave to the seller for why I gave the experience a bad rating:"My main gripe with this product deals with the confusing nature of the product information.
