It is compatible with my itunes and the battery life is very good. If you are looking for outstanding, unbelievably clear sound, though, you may want to look for another generation. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The sound is good. I don't use it every day, but I have had it for a few weeks, and I've still never recharged it. Mine is used, and it works perfectly. But it is still good sound, and exactly what I was looking for. When looking for an ipod, I knew I wanted a second generation.
This has lasted me so long. It's amazing. I'll miss my vintage pod. Been through my teenage years with me, and not a scratch to prove it.
Now I don't have enough space on it, so need to upgrade to higher GB. FIVE YEARS LATER. Very durable and reliable. STILL running as strong as ever.
Good for a younger teenager though. .
But when i received it it was in good condition. The bad thing about it was it didn't come with a charger:( and they send me 3 covers for my ipod, one black, blue, and green. I was scared because when i ordered this ipod because i bought it used.
I think the sound quality might be slightly worse and it might not keep its charge as long but it looks great and I am so lucky. After a day of drying, though, it was back to normal. Their products are the best. I love apple. I bought this ipod slightly used a couple of monthes ago and I was stupid and left it in one of my pants pockets and it went through the washing machine.
I dropped it, scratched it, threw it, lost it, lent it to someone, and it still works perfectly. It never let me down. Had this iPod for years and years.
